Does the thought of wearing a dress when it’s cold outside chill you to the bone? With just a few accessories, you can wear your dresses through the winter without risking frostbite!
1. Invest in several pairs of heavy knit tights. These will act as sweaters for your legs. Buy at least three pairs: brown, black, and grey.
2. Find a great pair of natural leather boots. Make sure that they come at least halfway up your calf, or higher. These will block the wind from your legs.
3. Layer your dress with a sweater, camisole, or jacket that you can wear indoors. Look for something that you can wear over and over again, preferably made of cashmere or soft merino wool.
4. Wear a scarf to keep the wind off of your neck. In the same vein, look for ear warmers and a good hat for when you’re outside.
5. Don’t be afraid to add to your dress by wearing things underneath as well, such as thermal shirts, etc. Silk camisoles are also a great way of keeping your upper half warm without adding bulk
6. Find a dress-length winter coat, which will protect you from the elements outside while allowing you to be warm and cozy inside. Ideally, you’ll find a coat that hits just above or just at the height of your boot.
